How to convert SIM card to
eSIM on the same device.

IMPORTANT!! You will not be able to complete the transaction if you do not complete all the steps.

What you need before converting physical SIM to eSIM

  1.  Check your device eSIM compatibility.
    Only compatible with iPhones: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or any newer iPhone models with iOS version 15.4 or later. and iPad Cellular model (eSIM compatible) with iOS 16.1 or later
  2. The phone number must have VoLTE and VoWiFi services enabled
    How to subscribe to the services:
    1. For VoLTE service, dial *412*1#Call. or Click
    2. For VoWiFi service, dial *399*1# Call or Click

  3. Connect to a WiFi network    
  4. Turn on the device security services
    1. Log in to iCloud on your iPhone View the steps here
    2. Activate Apple ID Two-Factor Authentication service View the steps here
    3. Turn on Face ID/Passcode Lock service View the steps here
    4. Complete the iMessage registration View the steps here

Suggestion: It is recommended that you backup all the contact lists to the device’s phonebook and backup all your data on the iCloud before proceeding. Once the SIM card is deactivated, destroy the card by breaking it.

How to convert SIM card to eSIM

Step 1

Go to Setting
Tap Cellular

Tap Convert to eSIM

The system is activating
to access the AIS web sheet

Step 2
The system will forward you to the AIS web sheet

Enter your ID card
or passport number,
Select Next

Please read the terms and
conditions of the service and
select "Accept" and
Next to proceed

Verify the information before
confirming the eSIM conversion.
Select Confirm to proceed

The screen will display
a message that the eSIM
conversion process
has been completed.
Please wait for the
confirmation SMS

Step 3

The system will then download
the eSIM onto the device and
deactivate the previous SIM card

The phone number will show
the status Converted to eSIM
and wait for SMS confirmation

  4. Connect to a WiFi network      
    Except for iPad Air M2 and iPad Pro M4 or later, it can be done without Wi-Fi connection.

How to convert SIM card to eSIM..

Step 1

Go to Setting menu
Tab Cellular Data

Tap Convert to eSIM

Tap Convert to eSIM

Tap Convert to eSIM

Waiting for activation

Step 3

Enter your ID card
or passport number

Please read the terms and conditions
of the service and choose “
Accept the Terms and
Conditions” to proceed

Verify the information before
confirming the eSIM conversion.
Select Confirm to proceed

The screen will display a message
that the eSIM conversion process
has been completed.
Please wait for the
confirmation SMS

Step 4

eSIM is installed and ready to use.

  2. Set a screen lock for both the current device and the new device before the transaction
  3. The phone number must have VoLTE and VoWiFi services enabled

  4. Connect to a WiFi network
    To complete the transaction, please connect to a strong and stable WiFi  before starting.

How to convert SIM card to eSIM

Go to Setting Menu > Cellular

Tap SIM manager

Tap add eSIM

Tap Convert to eSIM

Tap Confirm & Continue to convert to eSIM

The system will forward you to the AIS website

Enter your ID card or

and choose “Accept
the Terms and Conditions”
to proceed
